10-bit LUT for precise color control

When color nuances matter, the internal 10-bit look-up table (LUT) offers significant advantages: The assignment of color information is considerably more precise than with conventional 8-bit LUTs. The color gradations are extremely fine and offer individual adjustment options: For example, a color temperature control allows white points to be adjusted from 4,000 K to 10,000 K in 500 K increments. In addition, the color saturation for RGB colors can be adjusted separately.

Save energy and protect your eyes with Auto-EcoView

Day or night, bright or dark: No matter when or how you work, the Auto-EcoView function continuously measures changes in ambient light and optimizes the screen for ideal brightness levels. Completely automatically using a sensor. The advantages: Annoying glare is reduced, and your eyes don't tire as quickly. A special two-point control takes the brightest and darkest environments throughout the day into account when setting the desired screen brightness. Another advantage: Thanks to automatic brightness adjustment, you can save up to 50 percent on power compared to a monitor that is constantly running at full brightness. Of course, you can still adjust the monitor manually. The EcoView index provides an indication of how environmentally friendly and economical your settings are.

EcoView-Sense: Motion sensor as power saving function

With the presence sensor (EcoView Sense), you save energy and thus reduce your energy costs. The principle behind it: When you're sitting in front of the screen, the monitor is on. When you leave your workstation, it automatically switches to energy-saving mode. As soon as you return, it reactivates – entirely automatically via a motion sensor.

Absolutely flicker-free: for the sake of your eyes

To protect your eyes, EIZO developed a hybrid backlight control technology. This combines the advantages of the more common PWM (pulse width modulation) control and DC (direct current) control. PWM control uses refresh rates of 18 kHz. The result: a flicker-free viewing experience. Flicker is reduced to absolute zero without compromising image quality or color stability. You can also set the brightness to less than 1% of the maximum value in dimly lit rooms. The advantage: Your screen remains glare-free even under these conditions.

FineContrast modes: Optimized display at the touch of a button

The FineContrast modes make it easier for you to work and view images, text, or films. The color settings make a difference whether you're watching a film, editing an image, surfing the web, or writing text. With the touch of a button, you can set the respective presets for brightness, gamma correction, and color temperature. Thanks to the included ScreenManager Pro software, each application can be assigned a mode that is automatically activated when the program starts. For example, Paper mode simulates the pleasant contrast of books by reducing the blue light component. User-defined settings are also available. DICOM mode is a particular advantage for medical professionals: It ensures optimized image reproduction of radiological images with DICOM luminance characteristics.
